Average global temperature is a very boring and misleading statistic. Has any statistician ever attempted to extract other statistics from the mass of available data. Please speak loudly, Russia is listening.

Yes. Most obviously, the optimal fingerprinting type work. Hegerl, etc. But also, the variability.

Small things amuse small minds. Smaller minds find even large things unamusing.

Nothing misleading about it, unlike this post. Facts do not mislead. Trolls mislead.

Sure. The climatology databases were there LONG before global warming was discussed. They are much more directed to predicting agricultural needs and plans.
