Just as presidential hopeful and Florida governor Bush spoke out against the alledged use of excess force against the relatives of Elian Gonzales, Tampa native/ Washington state transplant Erin Abbott was run down in a display of excessive force by the USCG.

That same USCG was stationed outside the temporary quarters of Elian Gonzales...since these excesses occurred under Clinton's watch, it is only a matter of time before Governor Bush speaks out against the use of excessive force against Erin.

Well, 'shrub' is a Rep. What else did you expect?

Pfft...

Let me see if I get this straight... The USCG (US Coast Guard) was stationed outside was involved in this Elian fracas? Isn't that abit outside their jurisdiction?

Or are you just making this up?

You need to replace your logic board. I think some of the circuits are fried.

you really aren't too bright are you... the florida governor bush is george w. bush's brother (and george w. is the presidential hopeful).

you mean that there was a coast guard station somewhere in miami, right?

i doubt george or jeb bush are going to cry and whine about the coast guard like the pathetic AR idiots.

So if somebody kidnaps your (hypothetical) son and holds him captive in his/her house, you wouldn't approve if the government wanted to use force?

In the case of kidnapping/abduction? Yeah, I'd be all for that.

Seperating a child from his father just because you don't agree with the politics of the country they came from is not acceptable in any civilized

yep, nobody that sides with slade gorton can be considered an environmentalist. the man has made a living destroying wildlife in the northwest to pad his election coffers from the industries that contribute money. he fights anything good for wildlife even if everybody else is pretty much in agreement about it (elwha dam removal, etc.)

of course, his right-wing supporters are probably just as shocked that they could ever agree with paul watson... i guess idiots will find other idiots <G>
