I've read their entire website (www.iogen.ca) and what they have developed could have a big impact. I hope it can be ramped up quickly since the future of oil supplies seem more precarious every day.
I see farmers taking their farm waste to these processing centers, and hauling back ethanol fuel for their tractors and equipment along with the waste products of the process to put on their crops.
Or large farms having their own small scale processing system, and fueling their operation on the ethanol.

Don't be silly. Production would simply be cut further to move the price higher.
High oil prices are good for American Big Business.

Sure it is... all of them just love their expenses and cost of production going up. The airlines especially love going broke. They also like Ebola and AIDS.
I sure hope they don't let lefties and Chomskyites play with sharp objects.

I have a friend who was an engineer at an agricultural engineering company. We used to kid him about designing better cows.
The whole purpose of their company was trying to design an entire production and delivery system for ethanol and all of the related products and byproducts that acrue from ethanol production.
I believe he told me it would save America billions and actualy make billions more in American revenue including jobs in just about every sector. And the nice thing was that it was supposed to be a lot better for the environment all around.
They were actually doing all of this using loans and investments from various places.
They had not gotten to a practical application when 9/11 occured. They were close but not close enough.
After that the company almost went out of business. No person in authority wanted to be building any refineries or power plants until they knew what the terrorists were going to do. As a result almost all of their employees, a lot of them engineers, were let go.
I doubt that my friend's company was the only one working on this. Maybe when things settle down enough these people will be able to get back to putting this idea into practical use.
So maybe we will actually see this at the pump some day.
My friend seemed adamant about the savings to the people, so maybe he envisioned lower fuel prices at the pump.
