
Josh Donlan describes a rather positive development in DC the readiness finally to accept a legislation change aiming to regulate the carbon emissions in the states. Of course this comes, as it often is the case when the US level of emissions is now second to China.
According to a recent report by McKinsey, 80% of US CEOs believe climate change legislation will be in place in the next five years. 60% believed incorporating climate change mitigation into their business as strategic.
It is really great that even the corporate America can accept such legislation in the foreseeable future but in a sense we are chasing our tails.
In five years the situation would be much worse, we’ll have to undergo the same process with China for many years until they’ll agree to similar legislation and the climate changes are not going to wait.
