I posted below but the thread must be dead.

I have a question. I have a working knowledge of urban heat islands (UHI) and their relevance to climate change research. I would like to know more.

I am especially interested in the specific methods used to correct temperature records to account for UHI.

I would appreciate if someone could explain the basics of this correction process to me and perhaps, refer me to additional reading.

Please, scientific links only. I've already found some bogus sites.
