Second best, IMHO. First best was Gore's speech during his July 1998 visit to the Chernobyl Museum in Kiev. 'Nuclear power, designed well, regulated properly, cared for meticulously, has a place in the world's energy supply.'
Too bad the Gruens defeated him with anti-nuclear nadir votes.

Gore is right of course - he always is - the problem is... Meticulous care is lacking and regulation is based on politics rather than honesty and integrity.
If regulation was honest, America would abide by it's own laws that necessitate trade sanctions against Israel for their refusal to sign the
