Were do you find this stuff? The book dates to 1998. I can't believe that there could have been a web site like this around for 5 years without it showing up frequently in my Internet searches.

Whatever we do, let's avoid thinking about the 30% increase in the atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide that's occurred over the past century, okay?

Whether the climate is getting warmer, colder or staying the same, let's just avoid thinking about the fossil fuel industry's contribution of carbon to the atmosphere and what potential impacts it might have on climate, either for good or ill.

What about the prospects that the Earth will be struck by a comet before the carbon build-up can have any effect? What about the chances that Jesus will come back before then? Or the Jewish Messiah, or the Muslim Mahdi?

Of maybe we just need to think about sun spots.

I just think it's wrong under all circumstances to talk about climate and carbon dioxide and coal and oil burning, because it's so - well, it's potentially upsetting. And I hate to be upset.

I thought we were supposed to be afraid of global warming. What are we supposed to be afraid of now?

Now if man's actions cause warming, and an Ice Age is coming, maybe we ought to encourage all the actions of man being banned by environmentalists.
