No Numeric Model Predicted an Ice Age

I'm not sure exactly what you mean here by 'palaeomaps'. Do you mean the maps of climate reconstructions for, say, the last glacial maximum? These reconsctuctions are only snapshots, and only of 2-3 periods in the past.

But anyway: replicating the glacial cycles in models is quite hard. No one has done it in GCMs, because they are too expensive to run over the required (long) time periods. People do run lower-order models.

As to what the (unperturbed) future would have held: opinions vary: none I know of suggest warming: more recent work seems to suggest a long (50 kyr) interglacial rather than the 10kyr-one-that-is-already-over so beloved of some.
