I think on one has expected that the desire for clean fuel would end up in increasing the hunger in many states over the world.
We want clean energy that is more eco friendly than fossil fuel, we want to feel good about ourselves that we care for the environment, we create demand for bio diesel, farmers get a change to earn more money by supplying this new demand, they stop growing rice and other grains and start growing crops for bio diesel, less farmer grow food, the prices increase and we realize that we create a whole new problem when people can’t afford buying basic food anymore as the supply has decreased.
You know that saying that the road to hell is paved by good intentions?
First of all we have to prioritize and understand that in todays global village the butterfly effect is more visible than ever, one person desire to use bio diesel resulted in the other person inability to buy food.
I’m not saying anything yet in term of solutions I just define the map here, maybe when we as humanity think of ourselves as a whole a balanced way to use eco friendly gas while taking care that there would be enough food out there for everyone can be found.
The pressure on the US of the UN is getting stronger as the cries for help are arriving from all over the world and world leaders are trying to find a solution. There is no doubt that America is going to feel the crisis too as the food prices increase here too.
I’ve seen some that oppose to the pressure of the UN over the government but I do feel that we are an important part in the whole thing and have to learn in ways that increase harmony rather then suffering and chaos.
